Privacy

stubli.app is the home of the Stubli project. This page explains what this website collects about you, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers stubli.app only: every Stubli is someone’s own website, and its owner decides what happens there.

Who is responsible: Celestine Tan, Zurich, Switzerland. Questions about privacy: privacy@stubli.app.

When you just visit

  • Hosting. stubli.app runs on WordPress.com, by Automattic. Like any web host, its servers briefly record technical details such as your IP address and browser, so the site works and stays safe.
  • Statistics. We count visits with Jetpack Stats, also by Automattic. It shows us how many people visit and which pages they read, as totals. It doesn’t tell us who you are.
  • Cookies. We use no advertising cookies. People who sign in to manage the site get WordPress’s sign-in cookies.

When you send feedback

The feedback form, here or in the Stubli app, sends us your note. If you choose to, it also sends your site’s address (so we can reply), your device type and a screenshot. We keep feedback privately on stubli.app to improve Stubli and to reply to you. We don’t share it, and we delete it when it’s no longer useful or when you ask.

When you run the host check

The host check in Settings → Stubli asks stubli.app to try reaching your site, so stubli.app sees your site’s address. If you press “Check and send the result”, we also receive the technical result (PHP and WordPress versions and which checks passed). It contains no personal details. We use it to keep our list of hosts up to date.

Guest book and comments

When you sign the guest book from your own Stubli, your entry (your name, site address, message and small profile photo) is public on this site. We remove it if you ask.

Other Stubli sites

Other Stubli sites may read stubli.app’s public profile, photos and feed, for example when someone follows it. That’s the public content you see here; it contains nothing about you as a visitor.

Where your data is stored

WordPress.com stores this site’s data. Automattic may process it outside Switzerland, including in the United States.

Your rights

Under Swiss data protection law, and the EU’s GDPR if it applies to you, you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to privacy@stubli.app. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
